so listening to one of my beta readers trying to pronounce names made me giggle. But then I thought…well, they are strange and it’s not exactly like I have a map of what’s going on in my head. So this week – get your map! 🤗

I can’t remember IPA to save my life, so you gets “sounds like”, “rhymes with…”

Are’An – 3 syllables
Ar (like the pirate)
E (like the letter)
Awn (like dawn)

Aira– 2 syllables
Eye (like in your face)
Ra (like that egyptian god dude)

Saramine– 3 syllables
Sarah
Mean

Depash – 2 syllables
Deh (like meh)
Pash (like in passion)

Pai– 1 syllable
pie (like delicious)

Rachim– 2 syllables
Ra (again with the egyptian dude)
Keem (rhymes with steam)

Feam– 1 syllable
(Rhymes with Rachim )
